    Olympic - Holga

Really not what I was expecting from my plastic camera, am guessing that this could be written off but thought I would share, partially due to the amount of grain and partially because of the red tones in the shot. Any thoughts?

I kind of like it. Film grain has it's place. I also like the red tones to it and it also has a very good composition. I got to get me a Holga.

really has charm. Could you correct some of the red with PS--or is that taboo for Holgas?

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the feedback. The film grain is a surprise and even though the staircase itself was red, these red tones are the likes of which that have never been seen from my specific holga before so am happy that the little piece of plastic continues to surprise me! Am at the airport on my way to Shanghai now with both cameras packed along with some velvia films so hope to have something good to show for this trip soon. Many thanks again.

    Herriot,

I really like this - its funny how some mistakes make it and others don't

I like the way the colours of the exposed film and grain give this substance and a feeling of age which complements the dates on the stairs.

    Thanks for your comments Rick,

Roger, your thoughts on the aged fell of the photo and the dates in the image are interesting, you are right, the Holga is about taking chances and gambling for results so it is great when a surprise comes up. Thanks again as always.
