any way of using old slr canon lenses with a dslr?

is there a way of using old slr lenses with a digital slr ( i know it would be manual focus) but is there an adapter you a can get or is it not possible to do this?

i think it all depends on how old the lenses are. i would assume EF mounts are still the same. I have a couple EF mount lenses from about 8-10 years old, that i'm thinking would work on a dSLR. that being said, i haven't actually tried it.

EF mount lenses will work on Canon DSLRs. I have three that I had for my old EOS 630 35 mm film camera and they all work well with my XT and my 5D. On a crop camera (e.g. XT) they also have to have the 1.6 "magnifier" taken into account. HTH

there is an adapter that will let you put an fd mount lens (canons old lens mounting) on an ef mount body. The downside is that you loose all control. you need to meter manually, and unless the lens has a depth of field preview control (on the lens) then you can't even change your aperture from wide open.

    It depends on the Camera.
    I use a Nikon D40x and I can't use the old lenses.
I've taken every step in my life with appreciation that i may never pass this way again. Document memories with a camera on hand

The other downside to an FD mount lens on an EF body is that the adapter will either make you lose the ability to focus out to infinity, or add an optical element that can reduce optical quality.
