    Thread,fibre or hair..you tell me..PLEASE..?

In my sealed lens unit...on my first camera,Sony HD-9,
-Not a crack,it moves, grooves and seems to bother the focus, but not often visible in pics.
    (please don't laugh,saving for a Canon rebel...)
Before I return to the store, sweaty hands clutching my warranty, negotiate in Malay, and come away homicidal...
    Still can shoot...

Not visible in this one, thank goodness !
    As I mentioned,can still take photos,-its very thin,this object,
-at present is straight, from the lower right hand position,say,5 o'clock, stretching out one third of the lens surface.
I'm wondering how this happened..(sealed unit .?? )-and how to approach the store about it..?

Must have got in there during manufacture. I wouldn't think it would be a problem to returen but don't know how warranty works there.

You're doing a fine job with your camera - no need from what I see in this shot to worry about it. Cool instrument too, I'm not familiar with it. Hope the repair goes well, let us know how it ends up.

    Thanks for the encouragemet,

Sony replaced the lens unit, its working fine, just in time for a big show ,tomorrow,
will be shooting the pres of R.I.if you will excuse the expression.
(Have been borrowing my Bro's Canon 40D,love it,but miss my DSC H-9)

-That instrument is a custom electric oud, made in Indonesia, often used with an effects box ,produces an interesting sound.
