I believe most of you are getting tired of my birds, so I decided to try a different type of subject.

I think you needed a little more dof to bring more of the flower into focus, though the bg is nicely blurred. Also another thing I try when fighting bright light and shadow is to use my body to shade the flower to make the light more even.
