The Red Tail Hawk of Golar Canyon

I was off-roading in Death Valley, CA over the weekend. I stopped the caravan to take photos of this beauty. My birding photography needs a lot of work but I still would like to share.

Thanks. I could've stayed in that canyon all day trying to photograph those creatures and the surrounding wild flowers. We passed two more a few minutes later.

It has kept me busy. 2 weekends ago we were at Pismo Beach, then Death Valley and next week Big Bear.

I've been juggling with video and photography but I think I'll 100% photography at Big Bear.

I'm trying to fit in all these runs before it get crazy hot. No desert off-road adventures for me in the summer.

The first pic is such a great example of their gift of camouflage.....too bad the focus is soft.
