    On seeing me, the goose gives up his slow meandering away from me and takes off.

    Nice shot Don. It looks a little flat or washed out like Kodak film? I think you need a saturation an contrast boost. Nice composition. You might want to clone the trash too.

    Your horizon sucks, the image is washed out, there is too much foreground, the sky is blown out and the bird is too small.

    However with your nicely written introduction this is a pretty good shot.
    No, I DON'T need that.
