Rain Drops on Window Abstract

I keep trying my hand at abstract stuff with mixed results. I kind of like the way these came out after some heavy contrast and sharpening adjustments. What you all think of these?

Take care,
Joe Mags

What do I think of them?

I like 'em!

Normally I tend to frown on images split right down the middle but your second one really works for me.

Hey there Joe,

It's so good to see you around - and doing some photography.

I too really like that 2nd one. I'm not an abstract person, so hesitate to "critique" anything that I don't know what it is "supposed" to look like. Having said that, the 2nd image appeals to me so thought I'd at least give it a thumbs up!

I hope you will post more of your images around the forum. You're missed!

Liz

Thanks Liz,

Nice to hear from you too. I'm slowly but surely making time to get out there and snap away. It is tough with the two little ones though.

Take care,
Joe

A good yin/yang feel, especially on the second one. Very nice.

Re: Rain Drops on Window Abstract

I like the simple pleasures of these as well, and also tend to lean to the second shot. the drops and their shapes formed on the glass are very interesting. The high contrast works well here. The split down the middle does work as well.
Nice stuff. . .

Re: Rain Drops on Window Abstract

I think the bottom one's very good. I think the split down the center works in this situation, and the amt of contrast is just about perfect. I wish the water droplets (or whatever they are), which are really interesting being asymmetrical like that, were all sharp though.

You might want to make a monochromatic image from these too!
