    Snow and Ice

A few days ago we had a very heavy snow fall. But the conditions were just right that the snow flakes were very large and falling extremely slow (nearly windless day).

Got these from around the house with the 180mm macro. I think it is the first time that I ever been able to reveal individual snow flakes.

Very nice captures! I really like the first one the most. I've always wanted to capture individual snow flakes, maybe I finally can with my extension tubes.

    Re: Snow and Ice

Fast forward to yesterday. After a few more snow storms and a day of sleet, the landscape has changed quite drastically.

Again for around the house. This time with the 300mm and tubes.

I think the berry in #1 is the same one as the berry in #4 of the first post.

    thanks for looking.
