I found this guy while hunting my RH woodpecker on Tuesday morning. He gladly posed for me while I moved around telling him how pretty he was.
Very interesting call. Sounds like a Blue Jay with a sore throat and an accent lol.
"This species is in decline with fewer than 2500 breeding pairs living in Florida, their natural habitat location. As the everglades were reduced their numbers declined along with it. As man is now trying to replace the natural environment in Florida their numbers have stabilized and scientists are hoping for a resurgence of them.
