Some Portraits from my morning walk on the beach.

I decided to take a day off! My plan was a simple walk on the beach. naturally, I carried my cameras with me. Anyway, the birds were being as lazy as me today, and allowed me to get REALLY close. So close, in fact, that carrying the 600mm f/4 was a waste of time. All these images were with the 300mm f/4. I used both bodies, but the 1DsMII did most of them. The Osprey was an interesting situation. Had caught himslf a fairly large catfish, and was having quite a feast. I was literally able to get within 8 feet of him with the 300mm f/4! That's VERY unusual for an Osprey to allow you that close. Hence, the portrait shot.

That's pretty amazing to be able to get close enough for these types of portraits with just a 300mm lens. Do you by chance, resemble a bird. That's a pretty gross looking tongue, on the yawner.
