    Jazz

This was taken a few hours ago at an evening jazz event to honor a jazz legend.

Practically all the shots that night were at 1600ISO, RAW, tungsten WB, and handheld. There was a lot post processing in Canon Digital Pro and PS.

Thanks to those who gave me advice in the past few days

Great shots. I like the DOF and framing on the first, though the boom near his head is a little distracting.

Wow - those are great, Eric. Especially that first one. It's a beautiful composition and an emotional image. Very, very nice.

The honoree was the pianist, Hank Jones.

I never truly listened to jazz until last night. It was pretty amazing. The man will be 90 in a few weeks and he played all night long. It was awe-inspiring.

I'll get the names of the rest later. There were other "legends" in the audience but I'll know more about them probably next week.

I've already commented on my favorite in the gallery, but just let me say that a series as presented here they are outstanding. Looks like you had pretty good access and freedom of movement. That always makes it a lot more fun and easier to get the shoot your after. Way to go Eric.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Jazz

    Thanks everyone!

The event organizers are happy with what they've seen so far.

I have more to work on......and I thought digital was suppose to be easier than film.

    Thanks again.
