    Will he attack?

Ran into this fellow today. He was sitting on the top of a tree like five storeys high and I was down there on the ground shooting. After a couple of shots, he found me.

Call me silly, but I was thinking: will he come down and attack?

    Have eagles attacked human beings?

Since every time I saw the eagles, they sat on the tree top like forever. So I decided to set up my tripod. But by the time it was set. He was gone

    Re: Will he attack?

Don't know about eagles, but hawks will do this to defend their nest. We had a situation here a couple of years ago where some hawks had built their nest in a tree in a company parking lot. If you parked too close to the tree, they would dive-bomb you when you got out of your car and would sort-of chase you into the building. Needless to say it was Parker-beware if you parked within about 10 spots either side of the nest.

I suspect that most birds will attack you only if they perceive you as a threat, otherwise they will spend their energy to find food or a mate.

    Cheers,

That eagle was looking at you thinking "what is that?" Young eagles haven't seen too many humans and no they don't usually attack (even too close to a nest which is illegal in the US)
