    Enter at your own risk

I shot these while 4 wheelin' in the Santa Cruz mtns. Just some experimental X-file work so to speak.

The Fandango forest "mood" Is what I was after.

Re: Enter at your own risk

    I like the first one.
Don't care for the other two but its just my taste and not anything you did wrong.
Because of the foreground, I think I'd like the second if it had the same treatment as the first.
You definitly got mood though, now that I look again, I'm not sure the orange sky matches the rest of the 'mood' in #2.

Rick, that first shot is very nice. Creepy and mysterious. I think it would help to give it a levels adjustment to get the whites up some more.
The second I do not like. I don't care for the treatment or the composition. the third is interesting and almost looks like a negative of the first.
Very good image that first one.

Re: Enter at your own risk

    I really like #1 and 3.

The processing is over the top and fun, the images are "trippy" and odd, but well executed.

The first is really good and I think the second would also have been had it not been given the treatment.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Re: Enter at your own risk

#1 for me. What it has that the second image doesn't (aside from all the processing) is the road/trail/path drawing the biewer into the image and keep the bottom from just being wasted frame space.

I don't care at all for the colors in #2 and it lacks that something to draw the viewer into the frame.

#3 just looks like a negative of #1 and I prefer the positive.
    No, I DON'T need that.
