    Pipe Dream

Saw this on the side of the Western Metals Supply building while walking around downtown. Seems like such a nightmare solution to a simple problem. The "R" is from the word Western.

I like how sharp it is. Nice capture.

I like it for the whimsey and how well you shot it.
I'd guess they didn't have the right pipe and just started putting pieces together until they fit.

    Re: Pipe Dream

I've seen that place I think. I like the idea and angle. The pipe might be blown/lost out a bit, which is something that was almost inevitable with the background being almost the same color and very bright on the corners. Still, takes a good eye to catch these,

    Frog/GB/peckman:

Thanks very much for the comments. I appreciate it very much. GB, this "scene" is one side of the Western Metals Supply Building at Petco Park just above the door entering a restaurant. Peckman, I am shooting a Canon 40D these days. Just got it at Christmas and am having a great time with it thus far.

    Thanks again.

    Re: Pipe Dream

    Nice catch.

As far as the photo goes; I understand that you wanted the best angle on the pipe to show how crazy it is but that put the letter "R" crooked in the frame. I think a crop from the left to remove the dark brick and hide that the "R" isn't straight.
    No, I DON'T need that.
