    2 pictures - 2 plants.

    Hi

I would like to ask you how to shoot plants.
Please, give your comments about photo 1 and 2.

On the first picture you can see Helinathus bulbiferus.
On the second Echinops sphaerocephalus inside the wheat-field.

Are these photos good? What should be improved? Which is better?

I think more blue sky and less green stalks should be left on the first photo.
    And what about second?

    Thanks for all your comments
    g.

they still both seem to have a green cast to them.... maybe not as bad as your first few posts, but the color looks off to me.

I think your compositions are fine, but, I still cannot appreciate these because of what looks to be a very green/yellowish cast of color to them. You have heard this many times on your posted images . . . either your monitor is very off or something else is off.
I like the amount of stalks as opposed to "Blue" sky. . .but wish there was actually some blue in these images.

    Hi

    Thanks for your clues

However, I don't have such a great camera as most of you. Probably thus my pictures donot have so sharp colours Or - what is more probably - it is older and older. It was a very good camera ...some years ago. Haaaaaa

Ok. Is the picture below also so green ? I like it so much What do you think about it?

The last one is well composed but still too green/yellow.
What camera are you using? Maybe posting some specifics in the 'help' forum would bring some answers.
Are you shooting in raw? Might be able to overcome that tint in post editing if you are.

I am going to say based on the size format of these pictures and the fact that the cast is uniform throughout the posts that you probably shot these with film. In that case, the color tint could be coming from the scanner, the film or the development/print process itself. What kind of photo processing software, if any, do you use? What kind of film do you use?

As for the photos themselves if you are documenting plants then I would get as close as you possible can, fill the whole frame with a single flower or two. For plenty of great free advice about flower photos I would also check in to the Nature and Wildlife Forum also on this site. There are a lot of wonderful photographers with specific ideas about capturing plant portraits.

    Good luck!

    Re: 2 pictures - 2 plants.

I think you have a good eye for flowers, your compositions are interesting and the crops work for me. Sure there are other ways to shoot the same subject but these are fine.

I do have a issue with your first image in that the sky is too bright, perhaps if you shot earlier or later in the day.

BTW I agree with everyone else that there is a color problem with all your images.
    No, I DON'T need that.
