How are you guys liking Acros 100?

I'm going to place a film order in the next couple of days and as much I want to try Efke R25 and some other slow speed films, I think I'm going to order Acros 100 instead as it's only $2.69 a roll, instead of $5.00, and is supposed to be about as fine grain as gets. I know a couple of you have used it lately and just wondered how you were liking it and your thoughts with it so far?

I've only shot that one roll so far, but I liked it, and I bought more. I wouldn't say it's the finest grain I've seen, but it's pretty close. Tmax is probably a little finer, but I like the tonality of Acros better. At that price, you should give it a try.

While TMAX is nice and all, it's not really what I'm after. The Acros, from reading, seems to be the best option, at least in this price range. I'm thinking I'll order like 10 rolls of that and maybe pick a roll or 2 each of a few others to try out.

I've only shot 2 films of 100 Acros so far but I really like the results. I tried a 400 Neopan the other day and much prefer the 100 due to the finer grain. Still have a TMAX 100 in the fridge ready to try however Velvia 50 is next on the cards for me. I have a few rolls in the fridge and am looking forward to using it. I just need to get an ice axe so I can venture into the mountains to get some nice pics (hopefully).

I've shot quite a few rolls of Acros (it's what got me back into film.) It's really, really nice. I've heard someone describe the Acros's highlights as "creamy". Very fine grain and very beautiful results.

Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Hi MyLittleLeica, welcome to PR Nice to see a new film face around these parts. I ended up getting a couple bricks of Acros and am loving it so far. I'm torn now between the Acros and Neopan 400 for a fav. Both excellent films. Don't be a stranger. Feel free to jump right in here at PR

    Happy Shooting,
    Aaron

Here's a few recent shots from my outings with Acros:

Thanks - good to see another Sox fan

Acros & Presto are my favorites, too. If I can't decide I go out with 2 bodies, one with each :cornut: Presto pushes really well, too. I've done it up to 1600 with pretty good results.

I like that last shot; you can see the "creamy" highlights coming through the trees in the middle.

LOL... nice to have another Sox fan too. We need to stick it to the haters

Neopan 400 is awesome for pushing! Over half the rolls I have shot with it have been pushed. We actually just started a thread on it here:
