    Eagles from Squaw Creek NWR

I just returned early this evening from basically a 1 1/2 day tour of the refuge. It's mainly just an auto tour of 10 miles. The only places open to walking, aren't near any trees. I drove it 5 times. I must have seen about 3 dozen eagles, very few within shooting distance, dozens of deer and 100 of thousands of snow geese and other waterfowl. It's a very cool place to visit. The population of eagles and geese will continue to increase for a couple weeks. Up to 300 eagles and 300,000 snows have been at this refuge at one time. I got very few decent shots, but here are the eagles. I know they're not the sharpest, but I tried.

Mike, thanks for posting. Good shots. I like the action of number 4. I am learning just how difficult this is. Post some of the waterfowl if you have some.

Well it sounds like you gave it a super-human effort

Have you purchased the 30D and 100-400mm equipment that you were considering? Looking forward to seeing your results.

The lens was sent out from CA yesterday and the camera went out today from W. VA., today. They should both arrive friday. Unfortunately, I'd have to drive 100's of miles again, to find anything worth shooting. :cryin: I just received 2 1 gb Sandisk memory cards, via Ebay today. They were made in the U.S.
