    Male and Female Pine Grosbeak

Captured this pair yesterday with a few others visiting my Crabapple tree, they really seemed to enjoy eating the sub frozen apples .

Re: Male and Female Pine Grosbeak

Nice shots, Knight. I just saw a red bird fly by my car today, while driving thru a refuge. I knew it wasn't a cardinal, because of the shape. This bird looks very similar. This may be a coincidence, but I think that is what I saw. Thanks for posting.

Thanks again for showing us southerners these wonderful birds. I love the colors of both the male and females. Very impressive species.

Two lovely images Knight. It's great to see the birds from your part of the world as we don't get Pine Grosbeaks in the UK.
