Panasonic LZ-5 ... sits in my pocket almost all the time and gets some good shots.
The kind of thing that I miss because I don't carry the 1D everywhere - that doesn't fit in my pocket.

That was on the way back from the vet, cat basket in the left hand, camera in the right,
Just set to close-up, pointed, and shot off a burst of 3 - total time about 10 seconds from spotting it to continuing walking.
