    Saw something cool today

I was out at the city park on a photo shoot with a family and we saw a hawk. The only reason I took pics (since I was working...) is because they wanted me to lol He had just caught his dinner. See it?

Awesome, Amber! I have yet to get a RTH with prey (except a grasshopper ) and I've been trying!

That looks like a large meal. A squirrel? Chipmunk?

That is very cool. It's not too often I see a good photo of one standing on the ground.

    Re: Saw something cool today

Thanks guys! Yes.. It was a squirrel Loupey. He flew up into a tree right after I took that one, so I got a few of him up in the tree with his prey too. The ones in the tree really weren't all that great though.

    Thanks for looking

Nice Amber! Looks like he got himself a squirrel for dinner. Maybe you could send him to me so he could take care of MY squirrels!!

And after he's done at big baldo's, send him back up to me. "Our" squirrels have learned how to unscrew the top off the birdfeeder - even with duct tape on it

LOL Your crackin us up over here

Since I couldn't keep "my" squirrels out of my bird feeder and they kept eating my bulbs.. I gave in and nailed a squirrel feeder up on a tree down by the street. Works pretty ok lol.. so long as I keep feed in it! Its because my neighbor was always feeding them peanuts!! I dont know how else to stop 'em.. so I'll just feed 'em away from my yard lol

Cool shots Amber! Definitely something different, that the rest of us don't/haven't had a chance to capture.

    Re: Saw something cool today

Look, Amber. See they have this down to an assault science. One goes in while two or three more wait below for what rains down. They take turns going up.

About 2 months ago we did finally have a RT hawk land back there. It landed on a picnic table and I thought then that I might finally have a predator/prey shot. But the squirrel and hawk just looked at each other
