    New Project - Sneak Peak

Been working on a fairly large photography job the last several days (hence a little quiet here). Can't disclose the specifics just yet but hope to have it finished soon - will share the nature/extent/details of the "project" with you soon thereafter. In the meantime, only two images to share for now (mostly because I won't be shooting/posting my normal subject matter here).

    Will keep you posted.

Gorgeous fishie pics Loupey. Love the abstract nature of the first one.

Thanks for the kind feedback everyone. Hope to share the details later this week.

Amber - can you elaborate on the 2nd one? I did not intentionally try to portray any images in a sad way so if that is the impression, please let me know. While my shooting sessions are done for now, I still would like to know how future shoots could be altered. Thanks!

Oh its not the picture itself Loupey.. its the subject of the picture and my own knowledge of them that makes me sad. I obviously dont know whos discus those are, but that PB is very very poor quality and may even be sick.. its awfully skinny

I know you weren't showing the picture for the quality of the fish.. but as a discus hobbiest, when I look at the picture, I cant help but be sad at the sight of that fish.

I hope that helps you understand my reaction.

Re: New Project - Sneak Peak

Here are some more images. Been developing images/ideas to be used for in-store displays as well as matted images for sale. The client is a major chain with stores in several countries. There are a few more parts to the project that I won't/can't discuss as we are still ironing out the details.

Anyway, I wanted to depict very specific parts of the specimens rather than the entire subject itself. Most people know what the species look like; but forcing a closer look at a particular part would turn heads and lead the eyes in a particular direction.

Please let me know which images have an impact for you and why. Love any and all feedback.

    Another group.

If you'd like a mental exercise, try to guess what I ended up using for all of these images. Hint - think of the magnification, the subject distance, the distance to the glass, the environment (people all around), and lighting.
