I'm no expert,"In my humble opinion" I love it the way it is. What a shot! Impressive in every detail.

Print away. I bet this looks great 19 x 13.
    Thank You for sharing this.

Great shot Tom, Well framed. I think it is very good. You make me want to visit the place. Maybe you should sell them some prints.

    Re: Horseman

The only thing wrong with this picture is that it wasn't taken on black and white film. Of course, that's just my opinion. It works very well in color too. Nice shot!

    Re: Horseman

Everything is fine except the horse and rider are looking away. Makes me wonder what was behind you and if it could have been shot from the other side.
I like the light and shadows.

I like the photo but you needed a PC control lens, to get the lines parallel, but that is my only nit pick.

    Re: Horseman

    Thanks everyone.
Frog I could just not coax that horse to turn round. Seriously though, I was as much interested in everything else in the frame as i was the horse.
Freygr; I accept your point on the lines.
    Rick, Greg, Paul; thank you.

O/B where was this taken please ?

that makes me wonder just as much as the shot itself.

as Greg correctly remarks: "i LOVE this i want to see it in real life" (well being a statue i couldn't but i hope you know what i mean..oh never mind)

think that makes it even better.

    Re: Horseman

it certainly doesn't look ANYTHING like the British Museum that i visited as a kid..

    :cryin:

still as it was almost brand new when i was a kid it's hardly surprising. i think i can still remember smelling the fresh paint !!

    Tom,

How are you going to print this, have you considered canvas?

    Outstanding photo.

    Re: Horseman

Very captivating composition, Tom. But the criss-cross shadows and their taking all those corners and turns is what takes this image further. I would suggest boosting the levels/curves/contrast slightly until the limits of what the white walls will allow to accentuate that feature. Also, I might correct for a very slight green or cyan cast - though it could just be my monitor.

Can you xlone out the 2 black rectangles on the right side wall...they are distracting.

    How's that for a nit?

I love this picture......so much of interest to my eye.
