    Harvest

I saw this at a local pumpkin patch.1948 International Harvester DB-5.
I really liked this in B/W. Your thoughts?

    Thanks

Of the two I like the first one. I think the B&W works well. I think it's cropped a little to tight at the bottom but too. Do you have an angle straight on?

Well, I do like the b&w image a lot. But the color has potential.. there's just too much color here! You need to tone down the saturation on this one (did you add saturation in PP? Sure seems that way).

Also - try a spot color on the b&W, adding a little orange to the pumpkins. Might work -- GB

    Re: Harvest

I'm taken by your tight crop here. Your subject is sort of cliche for the fall but the striking crop makes the image quite strong and view-worthy.

The B&W might have a tad too much contrast as there is a lot of dense black with no detail. The color image is quite highly saturated and appears too green. Both have potential to be very good images.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I like the b&w as well - although I love the blue sky. I also felt I wanted to see what was below the picture (extend the crop farther down if possible).

    Re: Harvest

I am a sucker for bright colors, so I love the color one. The B&W one looks nice, but since the blue is so bold, the B&W sky looks a little dark. Like GB suggested, I think it might look nice in B&W with a splash of orange on the pumpkins.
