    Handles

I'm intrigued by the leftovers of man's attempt to master the environment. Old barns are one of the greatest examples of this struggle. I recently had a great morning shooting at an old farm in Iowa. Is it too simple? Your thoughts?

    Re: Handles

    Hi Mule
welcome to the forum...I for one like the pic...I like the way the rusted handles stand out and that wire keeping the doors closed is classic...
I guess my only complain would be, that I would have liked to have seen the whole set of doors as they, especially the right handle looks cut off...
otherwise I like it, I like the composition...

    Re: Handles

Good eye but I think it would have gained a lot of interest if the handles had been turned a bit to show their profile. I also think its too bright and thus lost a lot of texture.

    Re: Handles

This is a fairly interesting composition that lacks tonal range.

While it might work if you lightened the whole image some more to give it some kind of watercolor effect as a straight photograph the exposure seems off.
    No, I DON'T need that.
