    214 Main St.

Does the mailbox and paper in the yard need to go or stay? Also what do you think of the color treatment? I tried several and this is my favorite.

i love the shot, i think the paper and mailbox are fine. could be a sign of no one getting up yet on a quiet sunday morning, or perhaps an empty house.

not so sure about the colours though. did you intend it have an "old" feel to it, because that's what it looks like to me.

the kind, well before quality film and/or digital had been invented. should be on the front cover of a mrs. beaton's cook book !!

Greg, this one is definitely my favorite out of the other versions you showed me. On the other ones, where the mailbox and paper popped more, I would say they could go, but I think they fit fine on this version. Well done

I basically tried several of the Lightroom presets until I hit one that I liked. This one is "aged photo". I had to make a few minor adjustments to the preset.
Thanks Aaron you pre-critiques helped with this one.

This is so good Greg and it gives off a good "I wonder who lived there and what were they up to" feel. I think you did a good job on the colours with the right amount of saturation or lack of it. The mailbox must stay and the paper is hardly noticable.
    Great subject.

This brings up visions of a Hunted House - like the animated move the "Hunted House".

    I like it.

I agree that this one works as it is. the mailbox and paper must stay. . .they add to the candid appeal of the scene. The color treatment goes well with the subject. i like the strong contrast in the window areas of the house. It really pops out from the surrounding foliage.
    good work

Thanks, Everyone. I am glad this one worked out as it did. It was back lit from the sun coming up.

This is a good find, I like the looks of the old place. It looks too me like it is over sharpened a little but It could be the lack of rain. I bet you took several shots here.

    How can I be lost

Yes, a good find. I like the uniformity of the colors and lighting here. I dont know about the black frame - seems off for this shot. The bottom of the mailbox stake seems a tad crowded. But I really love the house, how it's hidden away, seems like it's been there forever.

Is it me or does the house seem tilted? I haven't read the other posts yet..

Thanks Tyson, GB1, I leveled it with a sidewalk you can't see and the roof line. I think it is built on a slight hill.
