    Gosh that's big! I had no idea they could grow so tall - we had one in our garden but that only got to about 6 foot. That looks about double that.

    That is a very tall Sunflower for sure. There's a lady down the street from me who plants her entire front lawn with sunflowers every year. Last year she had 2 topping the 20 foot mark. My neighbor grew one just over 12 feet last year also... but it looks like your son's sunflower is around the 12 - 15 foot mark too.

    Don, you got a cool shot here. the relationship in size is very strong and the painted looking sky goes off well with the Sunflower up there. A nitpik would be that your son should have stood a few more inches to his left so that the sunflower does not look like it is growing out of his head.
    All in all, really good shot
