    Re: The Haunted House

I like it. It took me a few seconds to notice the selective coloration and I hope that is what you were intending. The ghostly feeling of the B&W version definitely lend to the Haunted house feeling in the topic. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that the house is centered in the frame.... but it doesn't really distract from the emotion of the shot.

This photo just looks to nice and civilized to be a haunted house. If anything the b&w version does look more haunted. Don't you have run-down and unkempt places in your neck of the woods.

Didn’t ask the owner about whether his house was haunted or not, but that's part of the game, it looks freaky. Don’t spoil it please

    Jaffar,

This is to bright to give me the haunted feeling and the colour just doesn't add anything to me. I would suggested darker and loose the colour to give it a spooky feel.

As Don said it looks to well kept.

Sorry If I burst your bubble.

    Re: The Haunted House

The black and white version gave a spooky feeling with the plants growing on the side of the house near the windows. I'm just wondering myself what the green color is for in the black and white. Unless it is for specific reason, I think the green makes it not spooky. Also, maybe you can crop some of the lake out at the bottom unless you are going for the reflection.

But what do I know, I'm just a beginner.
