Stuck on the Inside

I see what you are getting at but the lighting wasn't helpful. Perhaps go B&W and bump the contrast?

By bumping do you mean merely sharpening the picture?

I think I see what you intend to show: The poor monkey is caged, you did not try to hide the cage. I think it's well done.
