    Championship Bull Riding

These are a few pictures I took from the stands. Let me know what you think. I have not edited any of them. They are completly raw. I know lighting needs to be worked on, definatly havent mastered arena lighting yet.

not bad shots, alittle blurry in spots,hint-always focus on the bulls eyes and you'll never go wrong.

    Re: Championship Bull Riding

You have captured some fun action shots here. I don’t have a problem with the lighting could use a little more contrast, especially the first one. As for the focus I wonder if the problem is more from a slow shutter speed than being out of focus. I’ve not shot anything like this but I’d guess that shooting around 1/500 or higher should stop this kind of action. What would really help tell the story is seeing the face of the bull rider. You may have done this but setting the camera to a continuous or burst shooting will allow you to take several shots in a row increasing your chance of capturing the face. You have some fun shots.

    Regards,

    Phil

Personally I would like to see the second shot sharpened a little, they are all quite different shots, agree that seeing the expression on the rider's face would be of use but least of all in the second IMO so that is the one I would like to see after some slight editing.
