    Corn Garden

A surprising plot of corn in the middle of a vacant lot.

The macro is the top of the corn plant.

    Re: Corn Garden

Nice macro, but something's gone badly awry in your processing.

There's blocky JPEG artefacts all over the place, and both images look way over-sharpened.
Have you changed the way you upload pictures?
Your images didn't always look like this.

    Don,

Nice images but I agree, these have been either way over sharpened or there is post-processing/software issue. I tend to think sharpening. If you still have the originals compare them and see what you think.

    Re: Corn Garden

I use a technique I like to emphasize detail. I oversharpen one layer and merge it with the original. A lot of people don't like the effect but im experimenting. In may cases it makes quite an ordinary image seem to sparkle (I think). Anyway that's the reason.

I am not a fan of this process...sorry . It just makes it look like a very high ISO output.
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!
    Thx, Rod

Yes, those look a little too sharp. Otherwise they may look pretty good.

Yes I feel the same way. But I also see a use for it but not with landscapes.
