    house on the prairie

I have been on vacation with the wife and 3 boys on a hiatus to North Carolina..in the mountains. We had a very relaxing time consisting of..rafting down the Tuckaseegee, taking the Great Smokey Mountain railway up to the Nantahala Gorge, visiting Sliding Rock in the pisgah forest, doing some hokey mining, and visiting our own private stream and waterfall. Oh yeah...we drove..and drove..and..I'm not sure..close to 3000 miles. Anyway, we took 600 pictures and after careful review...uhh..not a lot of winners...let the saga begin. This was on the road up to our cabin.

    Re: house on the prairie

Hmm. I like the greenery, and most of the composition. Not sure I like how far over the right-side house is.. Seems it should be nearer the center? Right now there's a pole in the center and I doubt that's supposed to be the center of interest . I like how you minimized the sky and emphasized the trees. Somehow, it also seems slightly blown out. Overall, with a little PP, I think this shot will be a keeper.

thx Don...and GB1...I was not able to walk around the property and had to settle for a shot from the road. The little red barn drew my interest..this was just a throw in.
