    The facts of life.

here is an interesting set from today's macro outing. It is something (a dragonfly of some sort?) eating a hoverfly. must have been a bad day for the hoverfly! These aren't the greatest shots, I was out in the middle of a field of flowers and getting a good vantage was tough. I took what I could get, and I think they are good enough at least on a documentary level.

As my wine director at work said, "that one on top is DEFINATELY dominating that other one."

Definitely a Robber Fly. All very sharp and well captured. I like #1 the best.

    Excellent job.

Thanks everyone! I just got back from a short trip to Detroit to see some family, to find the featured photo - I have to leave town more often

    Thanks!

These were shot with a sony (P&S) DSC-H5. The first two were also with a VCL-M3358 close-up lens, the third was taken with that lens stacked with a DH-1758 teleconvertor. All with some fill flash, IIRC.
