    A few AMG angles

Just a car you say... but what a car. Mercedes AMG SLK 55

I was limited to only a few shooting angles on this subject. The car was covered with pollen, waterspots,dust/dirt.. It was filthy.Too bad.The paint was radical.
These are some of the angles that I thought worked.

    Thanks

    Re: A few AMG angles

1 and 3 seem underexposed, the sky is good, but the car itself is too dark for me. I would bracket your shots or shoot in RAW and then bring out the shadows using HDR.

Good detail and angle on #2.

The last one also seems underexposed, I also find the feet distracting.

Definitely HDR this and you'd have a winner, what a beautiful car.

    Thanks Mr Yuck.
I have yet to try an HDR.How many shots would you use to get the range. I have alot to learn...

3 or 4, or just slightly overexpose in RAW.

for bracketed, i use the following exposure values usually: -2 and +2, and a couple near 0

    Re: A few AMG angles

I kind of prefer the 1st and 3rd shots. There's something about the lighting and angle that looks elegant and fast at the same time. It's a tad crowded at the bottom and maybe could use a little extra lighting, but very good.

    Re: A few AMG angles

I like the first shot and don't think its underexposed. I like the feel.
The shiny thing avove the right front fender could go as well as the feet in the last shot.
I've shot my feet a few times as well as my camera strap.
    Keep Shooting!
