    Lightspeed

Experimental: Timed exposure...I'm not sure If I even like this, but it was an idea  Here it is for your consideration. Was the exposure effective ? I liked the lightplay / shadows present.

    Thanks. I'm here to learn

rick - I like it - but I personally like when the trails all intersect so there aren't any "blank" spots - this kind of photography is like waterfalls, everyone has their opinion of what it should look like. I like these types of photos and keep looking for places to do them more. I just need to make some time and go do them, only have done 1 so far and it turned out "ok" for my first go at it .

Not bad but I agree with the above, blank spots. I am no good at these type of shots I need more practice. You did much better than me.

    How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?

    Re: Lightspeed

I think these shots need surroundings that say something about where and why the pic was taken......buildings/bridges/something. Otherwise you have a lot of light streaks in a rectangle.
I'm not bothered by the breaks in the light and you did it quite well. I just think you should find a better place or wider view. Its all personal taste though.

I agree with Frog that a recognizable landmark would add to the shot. They seem very abstract w/o one. I find myself drawn to the reds, though not the whites. The whites seem to wash out the detail in several areas. Not sure what you could do about it though, cept take from another angle or use a graduated color filter on the white areas. Good effort.

Rick - here is my first attempts at it - don't criticize the frame I was messing around in photoshop with it and I don't feel like digging too deep for this pic ... I used a smaller aperture on this (f22 I believe) which gave me the star effect on the lights - wished there were more traffic on the road but its what I got

WsW-WYATT-EARP - Good effect but I think a different color for the border effect would be better. Perhaps a red or even a black would be better.

    Re: Lightspeed

    Rick - that shot was F/16 - 13 sec. exposure - ISO 200

Obviously the shutter speed will depend on how much lighting is in the shot.
