    triptych tryout

I have been out to the zoo, today, and took some nice photos of all sort of beasts, I thought that a triptych would work with 3 different images of the same animal. Please give advice and suggestions on how I could make this better.

    many Thanks

    Jaffar,

I'm not sure if it's just my monitor or what, but all the shots look stretched, either vertically or horizontally.

I see the compression and stretch as well. I like the first two lion shots though. Nice DOF
I don't want it, I just need it...to breath ...to feel ...to know I'm alive.

    Re: triptych tryout

I am getting the same distortions in your photos.

Did you resize them to 'combine' them in the tryp format? Using scaling in a photoeditor (Adobe CS/2 or other Adobe Photoshop products as an example) may have distorted the images if you tried to resize them with the 'constrain proportions' box unmarked. The Canvas size rescaling option as an additional example may have had an 'anchor' established that forced the images to distort.
If we can help figure this out we will.

The parrot set might be stronger interesting to see in various position combinations. I am not sure this is the best arrangement.

I like the vertical orientation images. This is unusual as a scheme for panels in this type of work.

First, we need to figure out the distortion issue I think?

    Re: triptych tryout

Definitely distorted. My guess is that you resized them to a more manageable size for presentation, but only adjusted one dimension. The bottom tiger looks right though (you wouldn't want to make him/her mad).

The shots seem to have potential. Looking for a repost...

    Re: another triptych tryout

From the suggestions above, I gave it another try with a different principle, spliting one image into 3 parts. Thanks to all for the feedback on the previous one, please suggest and give opinion on this recent one.

    Thanks
