    neckstrap help

I have a new eos 30d and a heavy 24-105L (with the red steal me ring) and am heading to europe. I have been before but not with this much camera. I would like to buy a comfortable steel reinforced neck strap. Any siuggestions on what and where?

Why would you want a steel reinforced neckstrap. Someone grabs the camera they will take you down and you could be seriously injured. If you are looking for a comfortable strap they take a look at the OpTech straps.

The OpTechUSA gets my vote. Best strap I have ever used and it is supporting my 'L' glass at all times!

That looks like what the OP needs! May try it myself on my back up camera!

Thanks for the response. I ordered and tried the camera armor and it does not feel very comfortable to me. I am going to try the optech but they have many to choose from. Can you be more specific about which one you think is the most comfortable. Thanks!

Click on the link I provided above. By far the most comfortable.

Lowepro produce one as well which is made of neoprene (the same material as wet-suits). I've used one for a couple of years now - you can carry a camera all day long with pretty good comfort.

    Re: neckstrap help

Another vote for the optech even with the 1DMK2 and a 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS it kept my neck from feeling like it was going to break. Also using a handstrap like Canon's E1 as well as the optech strap really helps spread the weight I've found.

'Tough' meant it was an uncompromising image, something that came from your gut, out of instinct, raw, of the moment, something that couldn’t be described in any other way. So it was tough. Tough to like, tough to see, tough to make, tough to understand. The tougher they were the more beautiful they became.
