Don,

I agree with John here. The first thing that I see is the horizon line which is pretty much dead center. That's a risky choice, it rarely works well and I don't think that it does here.

Also, I am not sure about your subject, perhaps it is the signs but then the signs isn't prominent in he scene. I'd try to crop this differently.
