    The Protester No. 2

Hi all .. on a lovely day I took a few hours off to go into London. One of the places I often visit is a permanent demonstration just across the road from Parliament. I ran into this guy (who, incidentally, is a very well known British TV and film actor). I thought the juxtaposition of him below the Churchill statue was interesting (not to mention the flash of red which is always photogenic).

As always, any comments are welcome and appreciated.

    Cheers

I think it makes an interesting statement--a well known person, beneath Churchill's name, wearing a BLIAR/IRAQ shirt. It seems to sum up the political situation nicely, not to mention the subtle difference between Churchill's era as PM and Blair's. Excellent use of all elements, Mike. And the colors are outstanding.

    Mike,

I recognise the face but cannot put a name to him.

As for the photo this is one you should look at the glow coming from his pants/backside - its frightening what may be happening to the stone.

A real daming statement on Blair's legacy, just shows that SPIN will always get you in the end.

    Thanks John & Roger ...

Roger - his name is Michael Culver and he appeared with monotonous regularity in various series. I remember him especially as Prior Robert in the Cadfael series. In film he had major parts in A Passage to India and The Empire Strikes Back.

I agree that the photo makes a political statement (which some folks may not necessarily agree with). The whole area of protest fascinates me though - I find myself going back to that site very often (probably next Monday in fact!) :aureola:

I will deal with the pants glow!

    Cheers
