Eastern Bluebird
Well i was finally able to get in closer to these Bluebirds , the reason being that they have taken over a Swallow`s bird house on a fence post. So i just had to sit there for a half hour and they started coming around.

Re: Eastern Bluebird
Very nice! I like them all. I'm still hoping for BB in one of my boxes. There is a new nest in one, but I'm betting it's house sparrows again...

Re: Eastern Bluebird
Thanks guys number one was a bonus for me , i had just finished a photo of the male with the green insect in its mouth and was now focusing on the female when the male arrived for a food transfer for the female to take back to the nest . Thanks for taking the time for a looksee

Re: Eastern Bluebird
Good Knight! These are exceptional!
Love the first one too. But the rustic birdhouse in #3 is excellent as well.

Re: Eastern Bluebird
It's very evident that your patience paid off. I like them all. Congrats on the POTW, whatever that is. I assume it means photo of the week? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Eastern Bluebird
That's what it means, Mike. Each of the major forums gets to select their own POTW. Not intended to be a "contest" but more as a recognition for hard work and perserverence. Paulnj and I usually select the POTW based on technical execution, artistic merit (whatever that means ), subject difficulty, and/or just plain "wow" factor.

Re: Eastern Bluebird
Wow, most wonderful! I'm now encouraged to hike back up a hill in back of where I live and visit a bird house where I believe the little beauties are living. Photos like that are soooo inspiting in so many ways....Dale
