    After The Rain

Been raining off and on today. It had stopped raining for a moment when I got to work. As I was walking up the steps, I couldn't help but notice how the water droplets on these dark purple leaves just popped right out. Managed to pop off a couple quick shots before having to start work.

Xia...there's a green stem or something on the right side that could be cloned out. Good colors.

Not sure about the angle or composition. Seems busy or something.
Great colors with the water drops and nice focus with dof.
    Keep Shooting!

Thanks John I thought about cloning it out but, I really don't like taking stuff out unless absolutely necessary. Also, I think the touch of green from the stem helped make the purple pop just a hair more.

Thanks Frog I thought after shooting it that more of an overhead shot might have been a little better but, unfortunately was at work and couldn't run out to reshoot

I like this alot, it has an abstract feel to it, the drops of water and purple against the petals are a great color combo and lastly, the petals also remind me of butterfly wings. It's quite an interesting shot.
