    They don't call 'em "Bandits" for just their masks

    First 3 from the base of a bird feeder near woods and a pond.

    The 4th from atop a wood duck box (didn't have a climb-proof sleeve).

    there wasn't enough light to keep using the 2x for the one on top of the birdbox.

    By the time I got it off, the bandit was starting to climb down. These are substantial crops with the 300mm.

    The last one is an extreme crop of #3 in case you were wondering how it was still holding on

    Bev and Copy, thanks for looking (I keep getting your avatar images mixed up so I'm glad you both commented ) Yeah, they keep things fun.

    Seeing these images here, I see that the nest-robber must actually have taken up residence there. He is dry when he is on top. And there was no way I missed him up there for that long if he was drying off. I must go back and wait for him to come back out. Although I don't know what more he can do except come down. Maybe he can stand up and wave at me.
