    How to Lure a Fisherman

    Hi, gang -

So the two red/white bobbers have been hanging in this particular tree for about a year. I always thought there was a picture there... somehow.

Then yesterday I noticed a friend had joined them to the upper right.

Does it work without a punchline? Does it work at all?

Re: How to Lure a Fisherman

Hahaha, I saw almost this exact same picture this weekend, but I didn't take my camera. The wife and I went pan fishing on Saturday, and we found a couple trees that looked like this.

As far as the image goes, I'm not sure if there is enough here to keep my interest. I like it because this is a scene that is familiar to me. Kind a been there done that sort of thing. Overall tho, I don't think there is enough to the image to keep me looking at it, or coming back to it.

I like the comp, with the bobbers towards the opposite corners, with the in-focus branch providing a nice leading line between the bobbers.

Loupey....if you wait long enough, perhaps more bobbers will get up there and you'll have yourself a nice 'Fisherman's Christmas Tree' shot. I agree with mjs on the comp.

Looks all to familiar to me, too.
Don't know what to say about it. Wonder if a wider view might give it something.

mjs1973 - thanks for the thoughtful feedback. Your comments are well taken

swmdrayfan - no doubt that I'll keep an eye on it to see the work-in-progress Thanks for looking!

Frog - no worries about knowing what to say about it. That alone tells me loads!

Thanks again. The scene is instantly recognizeable but "so what?" Now to try to figure that out before the rangers take that mess down.

    Loupey,

What you need is a fish dangling from there as well.

Now that would be a photo that wouldn't need a caption.
