Went to the Everglades

Well i jumped on the Yamaha this morning and took a liitle spin west to the everglades..I didn't really find what i was looking for but came out with these

In my view, the bottom picture of the three is the best of the bunch. The top picture is too dark with too much space all around. the utility pole is not enough of a subject, at least the way it is presented here, to hold the picture.
The middle picture is suffering from lighting that is too harsh, and a bg that is too distracting.
the bottom shot is framed very well and the subject of all the trees in these evergalsdes are strong. the only thing holding this one down a bit is the rather flat lighting. Better lighting would bring a stronger feeling of depth to this scene and bring out the colors. Better lighting will come in the very early morning or late afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon. Softer, warmer light comes from this time of day and dramatic shadows are cast lending to the feeling of depth. I think the last one is still good as it is due to a strong subject and very good framing.

thx...I agree with you...sunrise was just an attempt out of making something from nothing..a crop and lots of PP. I wasn't overly impressed with any of them...and the heat and full riding leathers distracted me from putting on the fisheye for a cropped, corrected panorama view of the cypress area.
