    Steam Engine by Seuss

I went on a photo shoot at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum (really!) in Vista, Ca. This engine is well worn with colors that reminded me of something out of a Dr. Seuss book.

Obviously painted and re-painted over the years, one wonders if they chose the colors, or just used whatever was available. Sort of reminds me of Operation Petticoat, where they had to paint the submarine pink because it was all they could get.

Gosh, that movie brings back memories of drive-in movies with my mom and dad.

    CF,

I really like this, it shows the constant use and care over time. Nicely composed.

I think the axle on the right could do with a little dodging to bring it out more.

CF, you should check out my thread on my visit to the local train museum. Do you have anymore online?

    How Low:

I will look at your train museum shots. I do not have any more of the Gas and Steam Engine Museum on line but my entire gallery of photos submitted to this website is available. Not sure which you are looking for.
