    Some HDR's

I went to Central City, Colorado to shoot yesterday, but I found that the shots I got on the way are much more interesting. These were tone mapped and desaturated in photomatix, and then sepia-ed in Photoshop.

I don't want it, I just need it...to breath ...to feel ...to know I'm alive.

I like #2,It has a better composition. I have never been a big fan of the sepia look, even though I have tried it. I feel it would be much stronger if it were just B&W, If you get the chance I would like to see just a B&W.

I like the bottom one more because the background and sky provide depth. I like what you did with the colors in general, but you might be able to take it even farther. I like the wood in the foreground, but would it be a stronger shot w/o that there? They sort of block you from entering the photo (if that makes any sense whatsoever..). Too bad there isn't a farmhouse there too, and a few birds in the sky.

I love the movement in both photos. They look like they tie themselves in knots. Wonderful effect.

i've got to say, i like the first one better. there's so much texture and detail, it's almost abstract.

I agree, it makes perfect sense to me--visually, those old trunks suggest nothing so much as a guard rail. . .
