My first hoods

Today was my first time seeing hooded mergansers, we have all three varieties.

Wow...those are awesome...I really like the 3rd one and the last one.

While the reflections in the water and the symmetry of their wings is really great, what makes that last one outstanding for me is the tiny ripples created by both of their left wings as they just graze the water...simply awesome capture.
