Some great shots. I really like the third one with the contrast in the reflection

Like the third one very much. It's different and very well seen Don.

Re: Taking a Walk in the Slow Thaw

Don,

A couple of nice shots here. The first has some real opportunities: could you taken this from a lower angle? Sometimes that is impossible and I understand that. However, the snow looks blue to me. The third is great just the way it is, the contrast of b/w and the sign post make for a real nice photo.

Hope you lose that snow soon.

Don,
Some nice work here, as you've already been told.
The shot of the clothesline is nicely done.

Re: Taking a Walk in the Slow Thaw

Thanks guys. I took a walk and just wanted to get my hand on that shutter button. It didn't matter what I shot.

Enjoyable shots - good perspectives in all including the pano approach to the last.

Re: Taking a Walk in the Slow Thaw

Don, some very nice, and creative, shots you have here. I like all of them except the pano. To me, the pano is too busy with too much going on and no real point of interest. The other shots are strong in their minimalistic aesthetic and good creative composition/framing.
For me, the second shot of the clothes line with random clothes pins grabbing and hanging on is the strongest. I like the blurred snow bg almost looking like a set studio backdrop. the pins are all sharp and the line crossing through the frame diagonally is quite effective. The choice of b&w is also good and keeps with it's minimalistic feel. It comes off as a successful artistic approach to a very simple everyday subject. Good work
btw, I have been noticing your steady improvements in your photography since I remember you joining the forum, and I'm impressed.
Keep up the good work.

Good man Don, well done on the sticky.
I'm still enjoying the yellow sign road.

I'm honored. Getting a sticky in this crowd is notable.
