Lowepro Vertex 100 AW, 200 AW, 300 AW Backpacks - Press Release

LOWEPRO UNVEILS THE VERTEX LINE; IDEAL FOR PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS SHOOTING IN RUGGED OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS
Latest Premium Backpack Series Capable of Carrying 1-2 Digital SLRs, a Large/Medium 35mm Format System, Lenses, Tripod and a Notebook Computer

PMA 2007, Las Vegas, NV – March 8, 2007 – Lowepro, the worldwide leader of protective cases and backpacks for imaging products, notebook computers and personal electronics, today announced the launch of its new Vertex series of premium backpacks designed for the serious adventure bound photographer or sports photojournalist. The products contain a rugged exterior design with water resistant zippers and a seam-sealed Lowepro All Weather Cover™ that protects gear even in the most strenuous outdoor environments. The Vertex line also conforms to a variety of body types with an adjustable harness system, making it the most comfortable, durable and secure backpack for today’s most spirited digital photographers. Samples of the Vertex backpack series can be seen throughout PMA 2007 at the Lowepro booth, #P140.

Uniquely designed to deliver maximum comfort with minimal bulk, the Vertex series is capable of carrying 1-2 pro digital SLR units, a large 35mm or medium format system, a number of lenses, a tripod or monopod, a flash and digital accessories. Exterior features include the All Weather Cover, Lowepro’s adjustable Glide-Lock™ accessory attachment system for securing tripods and other outdoor accessories, two outer pockets for memory cards and filters, plus a mid-pocket which is large enough for most notebook computer models. The Vertex is also detailed internally with adjustable padded dividers with side velex-lining and additional accessory pockets.

“Lowepro is keenly aware of the challenges professional photographers meet each day when shooting in rigorous outdoor environments and we’ve designed the Vertex bags with the most adventuresome photographers in mind,” said Nicole Mummenhoff, Senior Vice President at Lowepro. “Constructed for protection, durability and ease of use, Vertex backpacks keep a photographer’s most valuable commodities – photo equipment and notebook computers – secure from moisture, dust and sand, while maintaining a comfortable, customized fit. From see-through pockets that let you easily locate accessories to silent zipper pulls that provide quiet access while around wildlife and film crews, we’ve put together a bag that truly addresses the multiple needs of the intrepid photographer.”
