    Sleepy Traveler

My son caught my eye while my wife took her turn at the wheel. I simply couldn't resist this subject. How did I do with the exposure? In post I added a curves layer and a soft light filter and made a +4 adjustment to saturation.

I can't really see the image perfectly on my laptop but this was a quick edit while I was in the car.

    Jaedon,

I like it and for all the wrong reasons I suspect. I personally like photos of subjects where half the face, whether people or animals, is dark. To me if the image strikes a chord, you really want to look closer and I spent long moments looking at this. If there is anything I could suggest it would to tone down the highlights as they are nearly approaching blown out. Was this late afternoon sun?

    Thanks for sharing.

    Re: Sleepy Traveler

Thanks for the comments CF. Yes it was late afternoon sun, about an hour before sundown. I will tone down the highlights a bit more and see what I end up with. As I said in the first post I did the edit in a moving car on my laptop just messing around as I had nothing else to do while we drove and the kids were sleeping.

I plan on doing more serious editing when I get back home but it's nice to get an idea of whether or not I am headed in the right direction.

Jay i think anywhere between the 2 edits would be much better...

I agree with CF, since i too like half the face in shadows.... nice grab!
