    Kestrel

I almost drove right past this guy today....caught him out of the corner of my eye and went back for a few shots. He was a good distance behind a fence, and I was shooting 800mm on a monopod, so this was the best of a bad lot. I am going to go back to the same area tomorrow, weather permitting , with a tripod and see if I can get a better shot.

    Cheers,

    Randy.

    Re: Kestrel

    Bevb,

His 'common' name is American Kestrel.

Like most birds, other than the Canada Goose, it is completely inappropriately named. (j/k) ;)

    Cheers,

    Randy.
